I live in an apartment complex in Grapevine, TX, which is a suburb of Dallas and Ft Worth (we're right in the middle of the two), and it's not a rural area by any means. The window by my desk looks out on a small fenced-in pasture across the street owned by a local resort. They use it to graze a small herd of long-horn cattle.
One day I was working at my desk and caught movement out of the corner of my eye. I looked up, and there was this big heifer outside the fence and in the middle of what is a busy two-way street, headed north towards the resort at a slow trot. Cars were pulling over to the curb on both sides of the street. Within a minute or so, an Animal Control truck was slowly chasing it, followed by a couple of police cars with lights flashing. It was like the OJ chase, except with a heifer instead of a Bronco....
My immediate thought was, "OK, now you really know you're not in NY anymore, because stuff like this never happens there". Except the video you posted shows that it does... |
