Tuesday he calls...I ask $100 min. he offers $150 cash. Sends docs which arrive Wed 11:30 am he calls Wed gives me Western Union number to p/u $500 cash. Docs include contact name out of state number etc.. Call her and she is not home as he had indicated. She is driving from BHam to Hville and I am in between 2 cities. She says son will not stop on drive in between. She sets time for 3 in HVille. She calls at 2 and says she is home, but son is driving her to GA. Craig calls, did we meet...explain she is going to GA. He acts like it has to be done by Friday and upset she not back til Monday. Callls her calls me back now I may have to get money and send docs to GA Notary. Calls back couple hours later and says, Monday is okay, wants me to backdate for extra $$ , I of course say no way, I then ask him to just send her and me a check and he comes up with some BS about her wanting cash instead.

I have strung him along just trying to figure out what the scam is? I get cash get robbed of $500 and now owe him $500 is all I can come up with.

Anyone intelligent enough to tell me? Went to local PD, they are not real interested. Website says coming soon coastalinc.com

Another Notary cashing your checks what would u do?
Posted by Jim/AL at 7/17/2013 10:11:00 AM
I happen to have the delight of having a notary in another state that has the same first and last name as mine...he knows and has known it for 6-7 years....back to EFS days when they paid him over $1000.00 of my dollars before we figured out he was cashing them.

This year 2 in February, 5 in March, 2 in April and 1 in May totaling just shy of $1,000.00.

Every once in a while I get one of his... I email and or call the sender and the other James and never cash his money. The only time I cashed his was when it came with mine and I always let all parties know.

What would you do? What can I do?

It is really frustrating chasing money...it is more frustrating when the companies think you are crazy because you already cashed their checks.
