Got a call from the Title Company RE: Victory Notary

Over the weekend I fired off an e-mail to the major officers of the
Title Company who hired Victory Notary for the signing in question here.

The woman who is in charge of their closing department called me first
thing this morning and was very apologetic.

She confirmed that Victory was in fact paid their full fee for the
signing. So, the fact that it did not sign in full was irrelevant to
the title company, they paid Victory.

She also advised that they will no longer use Victory due to numerous
complaints from notaries , and that she called Victory and told them
to pay me my full fee. (I doubt it will happen).

The woman told me she recognized my name and was always very pleased
for the work I did for them Victory.

The woman also told me that her experience was that title companies WANT the notaries to contact them when they have a problem getting paid from the signing agency.

So, from now on, keep records on the title / escrow / abstract company or lender who hired the SA. Then, when a SA invoice is past due, go directly to those companies FIRST.

This tactic may curtail some of the SA abuse.
