Base Fee and Mileage

I am coming up on my one year mark and am looking at my fees. For those with the similar amount of experience, how many miles are you willing to travel for your base fee?

My normal trip fee is $50.00 for a 50 mile radius. I am very rural, and cover 4 counties. Often times I can get an extra $25.00 thrown on even if it is 35 miles. Ask them for trip fee. You'd be surprised at how generous some companies can be.. especially if you have done several closings for them.

Hi there,
My minimum fee for a signing company is $75.00, $125.00 for title companies up to 50 mile round trip
$1 per mile after that (usually an estimate when negotiating)

If I get a request for a house call for an affidavit or something, minimum fee is $25.00 plus cost of notarizations. Those are ususally local requests so we're talking about ten miles or less.

I have been in the business for about 6 months.
