Professional on this website

Dear Notaries,
I am abhored at some of the messages I see posted here. Looks like a bad chat room.
Notaries, like attorneys, have gotten a bad rap for many years. It is not the profession that has hindered us, it is ourselves. It only takes one or 2 rotten apples to spoil the entire barrel.
I pride myself on the professional I choose to show regarding my commission. We all took an oath to uphold all federal and state laws as it applies to us. A sanctioned oath is not a pedestal to stand on, it is a pedestal to uphold.
Remember, my fellow notaries, we are in this together, and we should help one another as much as we can. If you are a mobile closing agent, then you know how rough & tough (& crazy!) this business can be. We need each other to lean on when all does not go well.
I hope all of you are doing well in this business and will continue to offer ourselves to each other as we offer ourselves to the public for which we serve.

Re: Professional on this website"you ain't seen nothing, yet"

Have you read some of the other "message boards" on line?
GMN has some really terrible, rotten, horrid people making statements and insulting some of the others.
I read some of those and just sit with my mouth open in wonder as to what gets these people to write some of these things.
I think that we, the majority of the people here, are mostly civil towards one another and if we can continue to help out and treat each other this way it will benefit us all. Venting our anger, etc., because someone says someting which we think is stupid doesn't do anything but show our ignorance, not theirs. The only stupid questions are the ones we don't ask about and just do what we think is right because we may be too embarrased by someone on these message boards if we happen to ask a "dumb" question. We all had to start some place and I'd bet anything everyone of use had a few "dumb" questions at the beginning. I know I did.
