Suzannae, I am new also. I email and or go online to as many agencies I can in a day and apply through their websites application for notary. I just joined the notaryrotary, and as a paid member, you get to go into the company list and go to each companies site or email and inquire or fill out an application to sign up. I also have searched on the net to find agencies, direct lenders and such, and then again, either filled out an online app. or emailed them with my interest to join their data base.I just stared this in middle of March, and received 2 signings, so far. I am being contacted though by agencies, wanting to know more about me, and then sending me their notary packet to join up with them.I belong also to the National notary association and the national signing agency as well, where your name n profile goes onto their site for companies to see and contact you.As well as this site here, you can do the same. Just keep plugging away. You can call your local lenders, mortgage brokers, title companies, etc, and let them know who you are and what you do. Drop in, leave them a business card if you can. Sometimes going straight to the companies and introducing yourself, gives you a better edge. Hope this was helpful to you. Like I said, I am new, and learning myself. I am passing along info given to me by so many nice people who don't mind helping us newbies..

My profile says I was viewed 12 times, but I was called for only one signing. I have also applied, contacted, sent letters, etc. It is very frustrating, I really thought this would be a lucrative endeavor. Thank goodness for my day job!! Part of me just wants to give it up, but I'm hoping that it takes off.
