How do these people pay. I've heard bad things about them

There was a company "Assured Signings' had a reputation for paying on time etc, but one Friday they upped and closed their doors owing notaries money. Then on the Monday, they re-opened as Alden Enterprises. They denied they had anything to do with Assured, stated they were a totally different company. However checking with the division of corporations, they have the same owners etc. While some notaries will say they have no problem with Alden, no-one had problems with Assured until they closed their doors without notice. The same thing could happen again. I wouldn't work for them, and take the chance of being stiffed by them!

Did on 2/21/04 paid 4/26/04. Although they met my fee I am not sure if I will accept another one at 60+ days.

I would be too concerned that they will all of a sudden close their doors again without paying their notaries and reopen under another name. As Assured, they always paid as well, until the end.

Accepting an assignment from Alden is like getting a warm fuzzy from a polecat: It isn't something you're gonna wanna do twice.

Formally Assured Signings. Still owe me $200.00 from last year. I wouldn't chance it.
