How do these people pay. I've heard bad things about them

There was a company "Assured Signings' had a reputation for paying on time etc, but one Friday they upped and closed their doors owing notaries money. Then on the Monday, they re-opened as Alden Enterprises. They denied they had anything to do with Assured, stated they were a totally different company. However checking with the division of corporations, they have the same owners etc.
While some notaries will say they have no problem with Alden, no-one had problems with Assured until they closed their doors without notice. The same thing could happen again.
I wouldn't work for them, and take the chance of being stiffed by them!

Did on 2/21/04 paid 4/26/04. Although they met my fee I am not sure if I will accept another one at 60+ days.

I would be too concerned that they will all of a sudden close their doors again without paying their notaries and reopen under another name. As Assured, they always paid as well, until the end.

Formally Assured Signings. Still owe me $200.00 from last year. I wouldn't chance it.
