No Enjoa for me
From all the reading I have done, the only people interested in Enjoa is the NNA. And only because they want to sell the machines.
The loan industry can't even decide on software for mortgage docs. Enjoa is a long, long way down the road. If it ever happens.

Re: No Enjoa for me
FRom the readings I have seen, Enjoa is a notary journal. However, there are a lot of questions as to whether it really is compliant with the various state laws on maintaining a notary journal (for those states that require a journal).
A few years ago the NNA tried passing off another system for E-Notarizations. That also went nowhere. The problem with the e-notarization is that there is no standard, many county clerk offices will not spend the funds on an untested system, lenders have security problems and the public is nowhere near ready to accept e-docs and e-notarizations.

Don is right about public reluctance. Many people were just getting used to Direct Deposit and ATMs; there have been many concerns about the security of internet banking as well. People are not going to just electronically "sign their lives away" into cyberspace for a long time yet; they LIKE having those tangible pieces of paper to sign and keep.

I am a new notary in california. I purchased @enjoa from the NNA because I had a good experience with them in other transactions, but I have to say that I have had nothing but problems with enjoa from the start.first NNA sent me program 1.0 it would not work in my brand new Dell with windows XP. so I call and @enjoa support when asked about @enjoa 2.0 tells me its not out yet and sends me 1.1 version. Doesn't work. Call NNA they now send me @enjoa 2.0 it works after a lengthly phone installation I had to pay a computer pro to do because now I am intimidated. But guess what, camera doesn't work in journal. Call again,@enjoa support says"well we don't know whats wrong but we will send you a new camera.A few days later I get a new camera with" guess what" software designed specifically for @enjoa camera device.well it worked but I am now locked out because sign on will not take my password[yes I know what I am doing].waiting for@enjoa support!I am very disapointed,I have spent over $1800.00 for @enjoa,laptop and more. I thought it would make things easier but its been one big headache I am about to send it back for refund and a bill for my trouble. If you buy this you better be computer savy!

As of last posting I was having trouble with my Enjoa or should I say hardware problems! My @enjoa is now installed on my laptop where it stay. untouched by the internet! For those of you wondering enjoa is an electronic journel that consists of five pages. 1.signers info 2.IDs 3.transaction [type of notarial act] 4. fees 5. boi-metrics pad including thumbprint[required in ca for deeds] photo [customers choice] and signiture. the program so far has nothing to do with e-docs, just an electronic record keeper. You can carry all..laptop, enjoa pad, camera and normal supplies, stamp etc. in two medium size briefcases. I have a dis-ability and find Enjoa is a lot easier than a paper journal. it is easy to use and dispite the problems I had getting rolling[it is a new program] I think I am going to like it. Customers are not scared of it they think its cool! I can set up in minutes yes on a car hood too! more will be revealed! jeff
