National Closing Solutions
I did a first signing for them on July 22. They cut the check on July 29. I received it today.
I appreciate those little positive things when they happen. It's nice.

NCS/Placer Title is the best! Not just because I used to work for them but, because they REALLY do care about the notaries that do the "hard work" for them. I have been on the other side of this business and know what a relief it is to have a good, experienced notary in the field working hard to get things done right.
And, don't you love grtting paid out of escrow???!!!!!

Becca, now that you mention it, I remember they are like that. It was a good experience all the way around.
I had three signings that same day and the last was a reverse mortgage from a visiting AZ man which took me from 7:30 pm until 10 pm to creep through - which is another story.
Long story short, I got overloaded the next morning because of an unexpected interruption. I called NCS and told them I would be a couple of hours late faxing my confirmation of completed signing back with the tracking number.
I was not sure what they'd say, but rather than treating me like I needed a "babysitter" they said okay --thanks for calling us and letting us know.

Did my first signing for them Saturday. The doc dated 7/30, I dated the RTC 7/31-8/4. But after I did the fax back, I noticed the instruction sheet said all dates must be corrected and initial by borrower. I call NCS and the voice message gave me a number for a weekend on call person. My fault, so I made another trip. The doc went out today since there is no UPS pickup in my area and I've been so busy that I forgot to call them. I re-faxed back the correct docs that they requested. They didn't call me today so I just hope everything is ok.
Nice to know that they actually are an escrow co.

Anything that is corrected/written out, has to be initialed by the borrower/borrowers. Except, of course, in the actual acknowledgment/jurat, only the notary.
