Printing of E-Docs

I have a Cannon 830i, that is used for all my printing. I purchased it mainly due to it's photo printing capabilities. Would I be able to use this printer, if anyone knows for the printing of E-Docs.

No - you need a laser printer for edocs. Preferably an HP (HP1200 or better) because they have the true PCL 5 or PCL 6 drivers needed to download and print the edocs from the web.

We use the HP 3015 and it works great, the next printer we get will have 2 trays.. A must for e-docs.

Avg edoc 2 copies equal around 150-170 pages.

Mike/NJ: Why do you feel a dual try is a must? I have always had a dual tray and only use one. Just curious.

The tray on the HP 3015 will not hold enough paper for 2 sets of Edocs.

I have the HP 1300 and only the single tray. I print one set out at a time. Works just fine.

I have that printer and I print one set at a time. Is there a site that will not allow the 2nd set to be printed?

I am not Mike, but I think that putting both sizes of paper into the printer, is the reason for having two paper trays.

Dual trays, with one legal and one letter size sure saves a lot of time when you are printing for a company that wants recordable documents on letter size and everything else legal. Its worth the added expense to free up my time printing documents.

Q: "How much extra do you charge for the printing of E.Docs?"

A: Sonya, I charge $30 - $45 depending on how they come to me. If it is straight downloading from the web straight to the printer - it's the lower end. If it is pieced together with emailed PDF's and faxing, I charge the other because of the time (and sometimes stress) involved.

Re: Dual is needed...sometimes

My very first call, the lender specifically said they were looking for someone that has dual tray printer to print both size docs. I wouldn't have gotten the job had I said no. The reason, their escrow officer was getting tired of having to chop docs down to size. I know from experience, the recording office in my county is very picky (especially with DOT).
