Suggestions on Signing Agencies

Can anyone make a suggestion as to what signing agencies are good to get started with (good to work for, will take beginners)?
I would appreciate your input.

Actually, I'm also a newby and am seeking the very same information. What is the best way to get started and can anyone suggest a good company to sign up with that will allow new Notaries to work for them. Any information would be appreciated.

When I got started I started with First American Signature Services (Signtrack.com) Their website is very user friendly with online reporting and hardly ever having to fax back key docs.

I just tried to sign up as a notary at www.signtrack.com, but the response page said, "First American Signature Services is not accepting online applications at this time."

I would suggest Precision Closing Services

They are a good company to start out with. They are very hands on, will call and remind you, bug you through the complete signing cycle. Great training company for someone just starting out. Also, Reeves Hary might not be a bad one. JMHO

Re: I would suggest Precision Closing Services

I have worked for Precision and have been very happy so far. Dogmonger - have you taken the training for Reeves Hary and do you know what they pay signing agents?

I used to do a lot more for Reeves than I do now

they usually want to pay 50.00 any more, but sometimes will get one here or there if they will meet my price. I know they offer a lot of training, and I believe you have to take a test before they will issue you any work. They used to do a lot of reversed mortgages, but anymore most of what I see is re-fi's. Usually pay at about their terms, although a couple of times I have had to call and remind them. They were always pleasant to work with. JMHO:-)

Dogmonger,
Are they still doing business? After submitting the online application in their website, an error message showed up. I faxed them my resume instead. I haven't heard from them. Let me know if you hear anything about them.

They are revamping their website. It could be something to do with that. Give them a call and talk to someone. I know you have to sign their contract and send it in and also turn in a test, but the test is basic and a carbon copy of other tests i have seen.
