WRONG STATE

I am a signing agent that lives right on the border of my state. I accepted a signing in the other state (not the state i'm commissioned in) what do I do.???

Well if you are not commissioned in that State, then just call the ss company back and tell them that won't be able to do the signing and state your reason.

is it possible to do the signing in my state and attach and acknowledgement to the notarized docs with my state and county

Don't you have to go to the borrower's home?????? If you do and you are not commissioned to notarize documents in that State, you can't do it. You are going to have the call the ss company and explain it to them. What time the is the signing scheduled for?????????

the borrower and i will be meeting in my state. since it will be notarized in mine, i'm pretty sure i can strike the state and initial and change to correct one.... very early!

I do that all the time. People in Delaware come to me in Maryland. It beats the attorney fee of $450 since DE is an attorney state.

RELAX

If the borrower is going to be signing in your state, then you are fine. just make sure the venue on the notary certificate states the venue where you are signing. Just put a line through the venue on the notary certificate and correct it to where you are doing the signing, and initial the change (borrower does not initial the change on the notary certificate, just you)
