3:00am closing!

Just got a call to do a 3:00am closing tonight in Chattanooga. Anyone have one this late before? They are willing to pay a fortune (in advance) for this. They say they are in a bind. The customer works third shift and is coming home for their lunch break. 30 pages very short/quick closing. They are emailing doc's now. Oh my... I can take tomorrow off after this one.

I've have done them that late before. One comes to mind, a man leaving the country for a month on business. Came home at 2:45am, signed from 2:50am to 3:20am, followed me out the door for a 4:30 or 5:00am flight to Germany. He was at work late preparing for the trip.

I have one company that I do graveyard for. They pay d--m good for it to. Got woke up one night at 1:00am for a 5:00 am, and I've been doing all their graveyad wok ever since. I would prefer graveyard work, but there's not much call for it here in Oklahoma. However, there are some nieghborhoods you wont catch me in after dark.

Just out of curiosity how much more do the companies pay you for doing work at such odd hours?

The latest I have ever done one was at 11:30. The SS told me they were to sign at 9pm. When I called the borrower's they told me they told the lender they were going to sign around midnight. Husband worked until 11:30pm. I called SS and asked if they paid extra they said no. So I figured I would still take it since it was just my 3rd one and my 2nd one with them. It went smoothly. The wife said to show up at about 11:30 and she would sign everything and when her husband came home he would sign his part. She signed everything in about 20 mins and it took him about 5 mins to sign. She just pointed and he signed. I was out of there by midnight.
Earliest one was at 5:30 am at the San Diego airport it was fast....but way too early for me I am a night owl not a morning person, but I do them anyway.

Wanna hear something funny? I just signed up for a company that asked me on their sheet if I did graveyard work. Not knowing what it was (or assuming it meant late "10 PM late") I said yes. Now watch me get a call at 2 AM. I'm glad I know because I would have asked them why they were calling so late. Smiley
