Medical Records

This is a question for Brenda ( but please anyone else with info speak up)
I am looking to get into medical record affidavits I call a couple of friends in the medical field ,they said all they do when records are called for is have the patient sign a form and thats it no need for a notary.I'm confused is this something in Ca. or are we talking about diff. things??

Della - Thanks for asking!!!

What you understand about getting patient records from Doctor or Hospital to patient is true.

But - if a deposition by written questions are sent to a medical treatment provider, this is quite another situation.

It could be that your friend's office has never received a subpoena, or a request for medical records from an attorney. I do quite a bit of work for lawyers and litigation support firms by marketing my services in a couple of different ways to get this kind of work.

I had not forgotten your earlier request to me, I promise! I have been working on it today.
