Mobile Notary

Can anyone tell me, I just became a notary and never heard of mobile notaries. I'm guessing of course that you are on the road all the time, but how does it work, and can you really make any money doing it considering in Florida you can only charge $10.00.

It is very difficult to make a living at being "just a notary". It's all the "extras" that makes the money. For example, in FL you can now charge $30 to solemnize a wedding. But, if you throw in settings, pictures, memorabilia, and travel, you can charge more for the "added services". Signing Agents do a heck of lot more than just notarize the documents. (At least they should!) So they get paid for the "signing" and travel and possibly printing out the documents.

Depending on your financial needs, as to whether or not the effort and return is worth it.

A little bit of advice, for your area, which is also my area, try conducting a search of how many notaries are in this area. You will be very surprised to see the hundreds of notaries names pop up! I did not write this to discourage you but for you to be aware of the situation. BK-FL

Thanks, I'm sure there are many, it comes with the territory.
