Most Effective Signing Class? (California)
For the $$$$ and knowledge-learned, should I take the NNA online course or an in-person notaryclass.com? Thanks for responding.

I have talked to many notaries who tell me that the NNA class is not very good.

For $75 + shipping, I can't say enough about the Signing Registry's book. Very complete. I feel the same way about their website & message board ($50/yr) Wouldn't be without it!

Signup with us at www.certifiedloansigners.com. We won't bore you and you'll learn how to conduct an actual loan signing (we do 3 in class) how to market yourself, and what equiptment to buy. You will also get Certilfied.
The book Cheryl Elliott, Dan Jones and I wrote "How to Become a Wildly Successful Loan Signing Agent" is included in the class.

I took a course though notary-services.com. Before taking the class I had not even seen a loan document. They teach you step-by-step how to conduct a loan, and even give you a sample loan package to practice with. I had my first signing shortly after taking the course, and it went smoothly.

I found the NNA class most useful. It is true, that without a significant wealth of brainpower, one cannot successfully complete the NNA course on their own. Then again, shouldn't we have a significant wealth of brainpower to do our job?
