Brenda, I am curious to know when you are going to start you own SS. After reading your blog, it is apparent that you have the talent, determination and business sence to operate one. Keep setting those high standard goals.

Dear Lawrence,
You said: "Brenda, I am curious to know when you are going to start you own SS. After reading your blog, it is apparent that you have the talent, determination and business sense to operate one. Keep setting those high standard goals."
Thank you so much for the compliments, Lawrence. However, I would be one of the worst signing services in the world. I hate paying bills and would wind up behind and notaries would hate me. Processing one notary's work (mine) and one set of documents is about all I am cut out for.
I do enjoy the human element of my job as an NSA. It's almost like I have been training all my life for being an NSA and it pays the bills so that I can spend time doing what I enjoy: writing.
I have realized from getting to know notaries through forums and email that many of our stories are similar. My husband's death was a very critical point in my life and I learned a lot about several things that devastated me, but ultimately made me tough as nails. I don't have much patience for whiners, but I do have empathy for people going through hard times.
There is so much negativity in the world that I count it a privilege to be able to encourage people to hang tough, let the garbage slide off, and keep moving. It can be done. People who have known me all my life know that I have overcome more than just my husband's death as far as life difficulty. From those people I have been encouraged to share what I know about getting a life back together after tragedy.
Sometimes, it just takes getting focused, and changing the way you perceive the world around you.
So, a signing service business is out of the question for me. I simply enjoy writing "from my heart." Obviously, I have some difficulties with grammar and punctuation, but I have two friends who have offered to edit for me. Once I get this blogging thing into my routine, I will probably take them up on it.
Thanks again for your kind words.
Brenda
