Mortgagenotary.com
Am I the only one who is having problems with this ss? They seem to me to be arrogant, rude and very disorganized. I gave up on them today. They promised numerous closings, always cancelled or postponed so far. No payment for printed docs after they cancelled

Jamison (Jamie) Jessup is the Owner...
...and you're most certainly not the first individual I've seen complain about the treatment they've received. There have been numerous postings on the GMN board by fellow Notaries who feel they have been given less than a fair shake by MortgageNotary.com. There are also a few who defend Jamie's company on the same board. Usually the ones defending him post anonymously & from that you can draw your own conclusion. One thing is certain; you need to be aware Mr. Jessup takes any "attack" like you've just posted as a personal affront. He generally responds to any criticism of his business in a rapid, verbose, & confrontational manner. Forewarned is forearmed!

I can't believe they allow YOU to post messages and use the so called "name" that you are using. Aren't YOU being "Juvenile" yourself?

I cannot stand them. Very rude & Ignorant. His business needs us more than we need him. I don't & won't do any signings for them. They are never wrong. Only us Notaries. I am in CT too. I hope his rudeness will put him right out of business.

Hey Ben: Your name is fine. The person that was using the "alias" has been deleted from the board.... I'm surprised no one caught on to the "so called name" that was used until I found it.

Thanks Normal Person..........your name is fine too. This guy gets crazy when people express their bad experiences with his company. If he's gets that PERSONAL with what people say about his company, he should wake up, get organized and treat us notaries right and start paying up. Im sure he doesn't like to work for free. This guy is a BOZO! Makes you wonder why his messages were deleated..........LOL.

Makes you wonder why he is still listed as four stars on Notary Rotary, doesnt it.

The Notary Rotary rating system is based on a compilation of individual user votes. At this point, the system is counting submitted votes from all users, including both Basic and Premier. This scenario does allow for the possibility of "ballot-stuffing," which is one inherent flaw - companies could conceivably rally their troops or their most favorable notaries and encourage them to vote.
Fortunately, each company's rating is stored to a history log every day. Once there are enough votes overall, we will likely change the compilation process to only count Premier Member votes, and then we might actually publish the before and after vote tallies. If there is a large disparity between the two aggregate numbers, it could be indicative of cheating. Of course, you'll have to draw your own conclusions. We do not have a position on any one company's scruples or reputation.
Finally, we will be adding the ability to tie forums posts to company profiles. By viewing a profile, users will also be able to see a history of public discussion surrounding the company. That feature, along with the ratings system, should prove very useful in company evaluations.

Good Ideas! Might make the rating system more transparent.
