E-FAX

I have been reading about free EFAX. Ok, what's the catch. Free after so many faxes received or howdoes it work.

I've done Efax, I now have Maxemail. Efax is free until you reach 20 faxes. Then it is $12.95 per month. You have to download and use the efax software, so you can only open & print on your computer.

Maxemail also has a free account just as limited. You can get an account with a Chicago number for $14.85/Year + $10 set up fee. I think you are allowed 200-300 pages per month. You can get a local number for $67/year, still much cheaper than Efax.

One of the reasons I changed to maxemail is because you can elect to get your faxes in pdf/adobe acrobat which can be printed on ANY computer. I have all my faxes forwarded to my yahoo mail account. Therefore, I can print a last minute HUD on any computer with internet access.

I've also set my yahoo mail to text message me on my Verizon phone when a fax or edocs has been received, so I don't have to babysit the computer waiting. I pay $7.99 to Verizon for this service.

So, I've save $45 a year, and never have to babysit my computer and wait around for faxes and email. I go to my computer when my phone alerts me it is there.

I've been paying for Efax for a year. I wish I had always done maxemail.

so if I subscribe to maxemail, with a local number, I can receive 200-300 faxes per month. Is that faxes or 200-300 pages per month. If over the limit, how much do you pay? I am one of the newbies, who is not thinking about "jumping into the fire" until I have a good understanding of notary law and particulars of being a signing agent. That should be about 6 mongths from now or more, if I deem necessary. Thanks for your time.

I'm at school most of the day, so maxemail is like a mobile fax for me. All I do is carry 1/2 a ream of legal size paper in my back pack and I've got myself a second office when I'm in the computer lab.

Maxemail is the way to go, no doubt about it.

Subscribing with a local number is more expensive. I use a local number and pay just under $60 a year (still cheap compared to efax).
I have had maxemail a couple of years now, and never gone over what they allow(I don;t remember what it is), and I do a lot of signings.
I also like that I can get the faxes pdf format, and it also has voice mail.

Aren't loan document at least over 50 pages long. If your given 5 signing in a month your well over the limit aren't you? Please explain. Thanks

Junk docs = medical personnel aboard a Chinese vessel.

HisHughness noted:

Paul/FL added:

***I thought "junk docs" were Chinese shipfitters.***

To which HisHughness supplements:

Junk docs = Embarkation point for salvage parts.
