On Friday I waited for four hours for edocs. Does anyone else have this problem? I think that if we, as a group, charged for late docs by the hour in addition to our usual fee, there would be less waiting around. If the docs are supposed to be here at noon and they do not arrive until 5:00 p.m., we should charge a $25.00 per hour fee for late docs. Does anyone else out there think that this is fair?

They were 5 hours late? That would seem fair to me but would probably lose you your signing unless stated in the beginning of the conversation and verified via confirmation over email.

Here's what I do. Keep my cell phone with me at all times and when they have actually e-mailed the documents over, I have them call me. That way I can go about my business. I have better things to do than sit around waiting for docs that may not even arrive. I used to sit in front of my computer waiting anxiously and then I get a call saying that something has gone askew at the title company or the signing was cancelled. You can charge the "waiting fee" but certainly no guarantee you'll get it. Good Luck!
