HP 1300 laser printer???
I'm wondering if anyone has had any experience with this printer. HP is offering a rebate right now, as well as a free paper tray, and it makes the price very appealing. It prints 20 PPM.
I have read some mixed things about the print quality, which concerns me a bit.
I have an HP 4 right now, but the poor thing desperately needs refurbishing, which my hubby can do, but I'm wondering if we'd just be better off upgrading and fixing the problem instantly.
Any help would be greatly appreciated!! Thanks everybody!!

We have a LaserJet 1300 in-house for some of our light-duty printing and it has been exceptional. My only complaint is that the manual feed slot often pulls paper or envelopes through a little crooked.
We picked up the expansion tray, which the printer sits on, on EBay for $64, which includes shipping. That configuration is great for signing agents, since you can load letter in the bottom and legal in the normal tray. Check out EBay item number 3493979598 at http://www.ebay.com.
I'm not sure where you're planning to buy the printer from, but NewEgg (http://www.newegg.com) is a great site that generally has very good prices. (Yes, there are a few companies that are slightly cheaper, but NewEgg is very reputable and has nice policies.) They are currently selling the printer for $359, which includes free FedEx shipping. After the mail-in rebate, $259 + $64 for an expansion paper tray sounds like a great deal.
