Health Insurance

For those of you ,who do not have a health Insurance premium through a spouse, where or what options are available to notaries going full time out there?

It's tough. Insurance for self-employed people is very expensive.

In my area, there is one hospital. I called their accounting office to see which PPOs they were on. (They aren't an HMO, unfortunately.)

I based my insurance decision on which PPO had the best coverage with this hospital. Since I can only afford a high deductible, it will be a hospital emergency that would make me lean on my insurance.

Hope this helps.

www.ehealthinsurance.com is another site that lets you compare plans, coverage, and prices. :-)
