Help-Notorizing Refi Packages

Hi - I just received a refi package and there are only two docs that requires a notary's signature - is that usual? These are the mortgage and the signature affidavit - I'm still waiting for the HUD doc to come. As you can tell I'm a newbie, but the during my last refi I notarized 14 docs, so I'm a little worried.

Thanks for any advice.

The number of notarized documents varies widely depending on the company. I've had some packages where only the Deed of Trust is notarized, some where I've had 7 or 8 pages that need notarization. Don't worry about it, just notarize what's there.

I did a 1st-2nd piggy back last night with only 2 notaries for the DOT. CA_Notary is right, don't sweat it.

Loan documents vary from lender to lender, so sometimes you only have two documents to notarize. I had one yesterday where only the DOT needed notarized. There are times, when you will be assigned a witness only documents and there will be nothing to notarize at all...you will only be there to witness the signing to make sure that they are done right and mail the package back.
