Holiday Felicitations
Everyone have a great 4th of July weekend. My lovely, perky-butted spouse, my two grandsons and I will be camping out in the back yard, roasting wierners over the barbecue grill, maybe taking a trip to the zoo, definitely going to an outdoor symphony performance (closing with the traditional 1812 Overture with actual cannons), and watching Austin's remarkable fireworks display over Town Lake.
If you haven't done so yet, I would heartily recommend you make time this weekend for "Fahrenheit 9/11," which is simultaneously rollicking entertainment and sobering commentary. And at some point, you may want to read the Declaration of Independence and/or the Constitution of the United States; both are available on the Internet. They're what it's all about, folks, and we shouldn't forget that.
Have a wonderful Fourth, and please devote a moment of gratitude to our troops overseas.

Thank you for the well wishes. I definetly will be thinking of my freedom and our troops over seas, but will not support an Anti-American movie.

They explained to me in the Army that no sane person jumps out of a perfectly good airplane. I have not yet seem Farenheit 9/11 but from from what I have heard, the only thing anti-american is what is criticized by the movie. I too support all in the armed services. Happy Independence Day to all

My question is would you fly in a perfectly bad airplane. I was also in the signal corps. I was a 31K at Fort Bragg, 50th signal Bat.

I was in the Army way too long ago to remember my MOS, but I was the company CO of a STRATCOM unit attached to an ADA Base The Russians never even tried to bomb us, so I must have done a good job. Gung Ho and happy 4th Gotta go do my evening signings Hope that the pre-holiday traffic has broken a bit

"no sane person jumps out of a perfectly good airplane"
I had a skydiving wedding to perform one June. I told the couple I would be happy to wait on the beach and marry them when they landed.
They tried to persuade me to take up skydiving with them. I said I never saw the sense out of jumping out of a perfectly good airplane. The bride said if I was in that plane I would want to jump out! LOL
I waited on the beach for them. I have to say that was one of the more spectacular weddings I have performed. Watching the coloured parachutes coming down to the beach was a beautiful site, and they only had a small area to land on. Amazing!

Hugh, Hugh, Hugh. That trash 9/11 is not worth the media it is printed on. It clearly appeals to people that cannot think for themselves. The extensive out of context quotes the Moore uses. Let's focus on notary topics here and live the politics to another board.

I've also seen Shrek 2 recently. Am I barred from mentioning the Brothers Grim? My wife went to church this morning with the grandkids. Can I whisper that it was a Presby.... church?
My comment was that "Fahrenheit 9/11" was rollicking entertainment and commentary. Forget the commentary. It was rollicking entertainment. And I would recommend it to anyone of any political persuasion from that perspective.

Sorry: My comment was that "Fahrenheit 9/11" is "sobering commentary," not just "commentary." Didn't intend to misstate the gravity of my transgression.
