California Fees

I'm asking for help to those of you working California. Since I'm new to So. Ca in this field, would anyone like to suggest how or what formula I can use , to arrive at reasonable fees and for which services? I am very aware that $40 & $50, degrades our business. Thank you. Bob

Hi, Welcome to So California, usually all you are going to get from most signing Companies is $65.00 even if there is a 1st and 2nd and they don't seem to care about mileage. When I do Edocs I charge $35.00 per set and $15.00 for a Borrowers copy.

Bob,
When I first started a very wise California Signing Agent (Janet Lynch) gave out this formula, and it has worked for me.

Figure going 20 miles from your base (40 mile round trip) and figure it at $1.25 a mile. That works out to $50 as a base fee. Anything over the 40 mile RT wold be another $1.25 a mile, round it up to the nearest $5.

After doing this a year raise your base fee another $10 to $60 for that 40 mile RT, and $1.25 a mile for the extra.
Give yourself a raise every year.

Sylvia;
Thanks for the help. Some say that $65 is an average and that loan signing companys don't care about milage. Whats your thought?
Thank you, Bob.
