Closing Agent

I thought I had read something n this board not to long ago about documents that have closing agent listed below ehre your signature goes on documents. Do I just sign my name and leave it at that, or do I cross out Closing agent and write in notary public? Which is the best wayl to do these? Thanks in advance for any help!!

You have to be careful and read the document. A lot of times the closing agent for the title company will have to sign after certain he does certain actions. i.e. dispersal of funds. Make sure you don't sign there. A lot of companies will have places for you to sign which are not really part of the legal docs and use different terms - closer, closing agent, settlement agent, etc. Just be sure what you are signing by reading the docs.
