My free listing with Notary Rotary
I just received a phone call from a lender in Louisanna and she says she found me on this site for a closing today for Butler, AL, which is not legal. I am unsure but it is my belief that unless you live in the state you can not be a notary in that state, is this true? I told her that I could not go into Alabama.
Does anyone know how I can check my listing with NOTARY ROTARY, so ensure proper listing...

I did and found myself but I still don't know understand why that lady called me, as I don't live in Alabama. Thanks for the information even though, this may happen again. The lady put a 20 mile radius but for me living so close to the State line, I can't go over the line, as it would not be legal.

Melanie, In California you are only commissioned to do Notaries in that state. Contact you Secratary of State office. I'm sure it is the same. Outside your jurisdiction could be grounds for loss of commission/Bob.

HAVING EMAILED NOTARY ROTARY, IT WAS SUGGESTED THAT A DUEL COMMISSION COULD BE OBTAINED BUT I WILL CHECK INTO IT.

I was told if a call came in from another state that you can bring the docs to your state and notarize them. Was I given the wrong info? Please advise! Thanx
