Notary on the Run
Does anyone else have problems with NOTR paying on time?? Seems to run minimum of 60 days, sometimes 90. Very demanding agency and always last minute, i.e. call at 4 for 6PM signing. Edocs at absolute last minute. I've decided to discontinue work with them, just wondered if I'm the only one having problems. Thanks.

This company does not pay their notaries!!
I am owed for 3 signings since Feb. On the 3rd signing assignment I accepted they didn't send their usual confirmation letter, what was sent was an emailed confirmation that appeared to be sent by the title companie which met my fee and it was certainly more than this bunch at Notary on the Run pay. I have done over 1000 signings and at this point I have not been paid by loanclose.com, (2)Town&Country in San Diego(1), and this bunch at Notary on the Run (3).
I have been busy the last two weeks but Notary on the Run is going to be sued. I'm lucky I have a brother who is a lawyer.
First of all be very wary of working with them and if they owe you money check you email confirmations. This is a rather new way to cheat notaries out of there money as this has not happened to me before.

You have a brother who is a lawyer? It happens in the best of families. We will be as supportive as possible, and I admire you for sharing with us. How did your parents take the news?

Hey at least mom and dad were proud of me!! Seriously he is a wonderful guy and he is going to go after Notary on the Run. They are truly a disgrace to the industry. They were just "blew me off when I called" for payment. That little trick they pulled on me posing as a title company has to sink to a new low as far as I'm concerned. I think its a game to them to see how many notaries they can get to work for free!!

Thanks Joan, at least I know its not just me! I wish I had an attorney for a brother....come to think of it, I wish I had a brother. I'm going to mention their reputation when I speak with them again today. As a signing agency I'm sure they know they can't do business without us. I also happen to know who their major client is, Ameriquest. Maybe a well placed call to them might help things along. I'll keep you posted. If it makes you feel any better, they are into me for six signings.

I've told them I'll never do an assignment for them because of the "bad" press they get. Yet, they still call me at least twice a month and ALWAYS within an hour of the appointment?!? Can't find anyone, huh??? The last time they called, I said, "If I ever decide to do charity notary work, I'll give you a call". How they're still in business, I'll never know.
This Notary will always RUN from Notary on the Run.

Okay. I have to come to the defense of "Notary on the Run" Yes, they are lax in paying but they have grown so fast they haven't been able to keep up. I believe they are implementing a new accounting method and are still getting the bugs out. I do e-docs for them all the time, and yes, most are last minute, but these signings are no-brainers, I can practically do them with my eyes closed and I feel they pay me reasonably well for a signing company. Many times their confirmations do not reflect what your fee should be. I usually just e-mail them right back and tell them to change the confirmation to the appropriate fee. I've had no problems with them returning my e-mail. If you have a grievance with them, go directly to Mike Mulligan, he is the owner.
