Notary to Notary: Your Money Matters

Notary to Notary

I don’t know about you, but I’ve had difficulties in collecting my fees from title and signing companies and didn’t know what to do about it. I came a cross a service called Pre – Paid Legal Services. These guys are good they wrote a letter on my behalf and got the company moving to pay me my money. I though that was pretty good, but I also found out they could help me with traffic tickets in my backyard or nationwide. That’s when I decided to become an independent associate with Pre – Paid Legal. They have top rated law firms in almost every state in the Union. Say the least now I’ve got someone on my side. If you drive, deal with signing or title companies, if you notarize documents (your bonding company does not represent you if you’re sued) you need this service. Take a look, and you be judge, at: www.prepaidlegal.com/info/jameslmartin

Aren't we not supposed to avoid advertising our services on this board? Do you get a commission or other form of compensation, James? If so, at the very least should you not disclose your financial interest in selling pre-paid legal services -- which, incidentally, have several drawbacks.

All I Can Tell you is the service helped me. You may not need help now, rest assured you will. When you do; what are you going to do and who are you going to call??? It helped me that’s all I can tell you. So please don't be offended it's not for everyone but if it can help you; use it. The idea is if we have or find something good we should pass it own. Right? God Bless.

Are you selling the service, James? You didn't respond to that portion of the earlier posting.

To expand a little: I don't object to being sold. I just want to be sold honestly. The sponsor of this board is a commercial enterprise, yet you will note that not even the sponsor touts its wares in this forum. If you're going to do so -- and I don't really have any strong objections to that -- I think you should let us know that's what you're doing. Camouflaging a business solicitation as simply one notary passing on a good suggestion to another notary is a hustle, and I don't like being hustled -- if that's what's going on.

I have this service and have only used it once. A lawyer got back to me the same day. I was impressed.

Looked into the service. It can be beneficial to some people in certain instances. My legal issues would not receive the professional and diligent attention that would be required. Remember, you get what you pay for !!!

Notaries,
I am also a PPl associate and independent signing agent. There is nothing wrong with sharing a good service with people. Some will see it some won't . Some would rather pay $200 an hour for an attorney than pay $25.00 to $45.00 a month. Why? Beats me? I'd rather pay $25.00 all day long.

It's an excellent company with two great products. Just because we do more than just notary signing agent work, doesn't mean we can't SHARE with our colleagues our other business.

The legal plan for small business is awesome and if you haven't used the service or don't have it; don't complain about it. If you have used the service and didn't get the service you "EXPECTED" blame the person that sold you the membership; not the company.

Correct me if I'm wrong. The monthy fee covers only the basic legal services. Should you need serious legal services (i.e. the appearance of an attorney in Court) you will pay substantially over and above the monthly fee. Some may find the service useful - but as I said before "You get what you pay for".

You Are Wrong. Please read. www.prepaidlegal.com/info/jameslmartin If your sued civil or job related Criminal you have attorney to represent you. And who ever heard of hiring an attorney to go to traffic court for you but that just what you get from Pre – Paid Legal. You get allot more than you pay for. Of course .89 cents a day could be a little to much. This is not to convince you just to inform you God Bless

If you're going to >>sell<< prepaid legal services on the basis of paying 89 cents a day, you should be prepared to >>collect<< it that way -- 89 cents every day. So...do you want to come by my office or my home each day to collect ? On weekends, though, you won't have a choice: You'll have to come by the house.

The price is not 89 cents a day, it's about $25 a month.
