Books for notaries
I haven't read the book but I took a look at the website.
If you are a beginner, the book is probably a good deal. It looks like she offers good marketing tips. I would shy away from her notary text. I didn't see which state she is in. Stick to your state's book of regulations And I don't think there is much in the book in the way of training for documents.
For document training, Just Point and Sign is known to be the best. It's expensive - around what the NNA charges. (Remember that the NNA spreads its fees around: $# for NSA membership, $89 for book, $# for test, etc. They all add up.)
Cheryl Elliot has just published a book. Cheryl is a good woman and a hard-working NSA who also teaches classes to prepare people to pass the state notary exam in California. I imagine her book is better than the one you found. But Cheryl's book is $89!
The book I would really stay away from is the one by Victoria Ring. She posts a lot of erroneous information in her eNewsletter and on the boards. Plus she uses a pen name (Gloria Joyce) to post recommendations about her book and courses. Shady behavior.
