I received in my efax a tif file..I could not open it. They suggested d/l a tif reader, which I did. On screen it looks fine, but when I print it out, information does not fill page space.. I don't know what to do.. Anyone experienced in this please helpppppppp!! Thanks in advance

I'm not an expert but it sounds like a picture file like bmp or jpegs. Maybe others will help you more.

You are correct. Tif files are picture files like jpeg, gif and btmp are. Can't understand why docs would be sent in this format unless someone who doesn't know just what they are doing did it. I would think you could open them with any program that will open jpeg files but don't know what you will do with them once they are open.

Hello Victoria, .tif files can be opened with Windows Picture and Fax Viewer. Electronic fax files are usually in .tif format. You can get a free eFax account and use their viewer for .tif files. Check out any "fax by email" software and if they have a viewer available you will be able to view the file.

Download Apple's quicktime from http://www.apple.com/quicktime for either Windows or Mac . And you can use the picture viewer application to view TIFF's or much anything else that you might run across.
