Hope someone can help

My neighbor owns property in India and wishes to sell it giving a family member power of attorney in order to make the sale. My question is this - does he need to have the power of attorney written in India and then have a certificate notorizing his signature attached to it or can the power of attorney be written here in the states- I'm at a loss - never experienced an out of coutry notorization before.

COMPLETELY out of our realm as a notary. have the neighbor contact an attorney or the Indian consulate/embassy

I work for a real estat attorney, and we recently had a similar situation with forein notarization. We drew up to poa here, emailed it there, they had it notarized in England, and we used it here. I will retireve the doc later at work and look it over again to make sure that is how it went down, and I will get back to you. Hope this helps.

I did one of these the other day. Have him get the power of attorney signed in the states and it will be good in India.
