I am ready to rock, but no calls
I am a newbie ready to do signings. Is there a certain period in the month that you start getting calls? I have registered with quite a few web sites and companies. But, so far no calls. Thanks, Pam

Be patient Pam. I too am new to the notary signing business. I sign-up with as many agencies I can in a day.Usually 25 minimum. Somehow, I got called for 2 so far, lol, weren't hard. However, all has gone quiet. I plug away anyway. I am a real estate agent and know about being patient. All of a sudden you might just get flooded with calls. So hang in there, it will come..Keep plugging away.

I have been doing this for 5 yrs (when we were called mobile loan doc signers). It took a while to build up business with signing companies, but you need to remember that our business is GREATLY affected by interest rates (which are down right now). But there are too many new notaries who have made mistakes, so that hurts all the new ones! I know it isn't fair, but time is money - so if they have to send someone out again, they won't be calling the 1st notary EVER again. I see alot of advertising in the NNA magazine about all the money you can make. I PRAY that people have not quit their regular job to go into this business. Until you have a couple of years under your belt AND you live in a large city without a 500 notaries competing with you, you need to look at this as extra income. I wish all the new signing agents the best of luck (REALLY!). Just hang in there and NEVER say anything negative about a lender or a SS on a web forum/notary board because they read them as well. Keep your integrity and your business will flourish!
