fingerprinting

newbie here! sorry if this is a dumb question, but how do i become eligible to take fingerprints? i'm in california, if that's relevant.

I know you put this question in some time ago, and you may have already found the info, but it took me awhile to find the info myself. The CA Dept of Justice is in charge of certifying fingerprinters. Their web site is http://caag.state.ca.us You need to fill out an application and have your fingerprints sent to them, and they process you to be able to fingerprint for state and federal purposes.
