New to Business. Help!

I am new to the business and have heard horror stories of companies that don't pay and last minute nightmare closings. Need some advice as to how to avoid these situations. Could anyone provide me with a list of the companies that are safe to take business from? Which are the ones that I should never take business from?

Any advice is sincerely appreciated. Thank you.

The best place is Notary Rotary --- it's the only rating system I've seen so far that gives ratings on companies to keep notaries informed.

NNA only lists companies on their website, but really doesn't keep up with the deadbeats.

The Signing Registry also has ratings for the companies.
