Out of state properties

After accepting a closing for a town in your state and once you begin to close with borrower, you notice the property address is in another state. The notarial page on the mortgage is pre-printed with the state and county of the property not the state that you have your commission. Do you not acknowledge or cross through this state and county or what.

The "venue" on the notarial certificate must reflect where the document is notarized. I would line through the incorrect State & County and write in the state and county where you are notarizing said document.

Initial Change

You should initial after you insert your state and the county wher the signing is taking place. Also, sometimes the county and state are also at the top of the page, these should also be corrected and initialed by you
