document service

Hello co-workers

I have been working for this ecompany quite a bit in a three month period. They originally approached me asked if I would do signings for $50 and that they would be easy just one page needed notarizing.

I told them what my fee was and they said they would pay it, and we agreed that after I had done 10-20signing and if they were exactly what they told me, depending on mileage and only for this particular bank (the one that only needs 1 notarization) then I would do it for $50.

Guess what? My first check was for two signings and they paid me $50 each, I called and they said "oh, no problem the system reverts to $50 because that is what we normally pay, we will get that corrected for you"

So I completed four more signings for them, I received my next check and it was also for $50 for a signing that should have been more and the check did not included the previous mistake.

This is how the process works; they email me who, what, when, where, and the amount we agreed to on the phone. So the work order is correct, but the checks are not.

What do you guys make of this. This is really a nice company to work for, everyone is pleasant and easy to deal with, they respond immediately and are great. I just don't what to make of the mistakes with my pay, I have a tendency to over react to collection issues (because, that is what my full time job is). I have emailed their billing department and haven't heard back yet, although I am sure I will. I have two more appointments on my books for them this week.

What do you guys think?

Sorry, Deb, but you are being bamboozled.

Something my grandmother used to say:
"Fooled once, shame on you. Fooled twice, shame on me."

I would tell them that I need to have the amounts due me to be brought current before I do any more assignments.

You say they are "a nice company". Hah! Tell them to put their money where their "nice" mouth is.
It's like dating: don't listen to what they say, just watch the behavior.

Hi Deb,

Sounds like us. If so, please accept our apologies. We really appreciate your kind words...again, assuming you are referring to us ("document service"). I believe that we may have spoken a few days ago about this. If this is the Deb that I am thinking of please give me a call. I know that we worked things out, but it wouldn't hurt to be sure.

Thank you,

Michael
