MOVING TO NC

I'M CONCIDERING MOVING TO THE STATE OF NC (NEAR THE BORDER OF NC/TN) AND WAS WONDERING IF I CAN STILL DO THE LOAN CLOSINGS THERE. IS NC OR TN A ATTORNEY STATE? WHAT IS THE REQUIREMENTS IN THOSE STATES TO CLOSE LOANS. IF ANYONE CAN HELP ME OUT OR POINT ME TO THE RIGHT DIRECTION I WOULD REALLY APPRECIATE IT.

I don't know about the SA business in that area, but Robinsville, Topaco and Cherokee county in general, are favorite "roads" for me. Greatest area in the county. (The Dragon roams there too, US 129, 11 miles of two lane highway with 318 turns.)

I am in the Charlotte area and have been a certified signing agent a year. This is NOT an attorney state but many companies still believe it is. The requirement is of course you become a notary in NC which involves a course at a local college, it is a one day course and then take a test.Once approved you apply to the Secretary of State with a check for $50. You then will receive a green form back from the sec of state and you then go to the records dept of your city to take oath and get your license. Before sending to sec of state you need to get a notary officer (city councilman or mayor) to notarize your form to be presented as a notary to the sec of state.

Then you will order a stamp and then you can take a certified signing course and then you can sell yourself as a certified signing agent in NC.
