New Signer in Victorville; What company do I sign up with?
I'm a new signer in Victorville, CA. What signing company should I sign up with to get started? Any recommendations?

There are hundreds of companies you can sign up with. Lists are available on this site, GoMobileNotary.com and 50 StateNotary.com for starters. As Hugh will surely advise you, start your education by reading the previous posts on this site and GoMobileNotary, and you'll get a feel for companies both good and bad. $50 companies are fine to start off with, but don't do the $40 ones - that lowers the bar for everyone. Be aware of your market area and that CA is supersaturated with notary signing agents. You should also consider a listing on this site, GoMobileNotary and/or 123Notary.com. Remember you're a notary first and a signing agent second, and be very familiar with the notary laws. Good luck!

What you should do is do a search on this site; use the phrase "no no" and the word "avoid". You should come up with a number of lists of companies to avoid.
And on an ongoing basis, you should read the posts on this site and on gomobilenotary daily and take notes or whatever.

Avis, You're going to have to exert some energy and do some research on your own when it comes to what companies to sign up with in your area because I doubt anyone is willing to take food from their mouth and give you direct answers. As for what companies to be aware of or avoid, if Hugh hasn't already suggested you start at the beginning and read each and every message in every thread, you will get a good idea of people's own experience with different companies.

I researched and google search and yahoo search terms like notary vendor and loan closer vendor and I am still signing up with as many companies as I can. Work will start coming to you just do the search signup foot work.
