Signing Company to Avoid
Notary America in Tucson AZ owes me $110 from a signing on August 2006. Have tried calling and each time I am given the run around. Do not sign with this company

Russell, wish you would have checked them out on here before you did the signing. Lots of us have been taken by them. The checks usually bounce, if you get one.

File a complaint with the BBB...
Keep tracks of your telephone calls. Use the demand template provided by either Notary Rotary or the NNA, file a complaint online with the BBB. We have got to play hardball with them. Once you file a complaint on line, you will get a confirmation of your complaint in your e-mail...forward that on to the company that owes you $$$. You WILL get a response.

Re: File a complaint with the BBB...
All of you people who have filed complaints with the BBB and those who have advised others to file complaints with the BBB: Can you give me an instance in which the BBB actually investigated the complaint and resolved it, whether for or against you? I would be most interested in that followup.
Signing agents operate a business. The BBB's role is to help resolve complaints between >>>consumers<<< and businesses, not between one business and another business. The only time I know of that the BBB would get involved in a signing agent matter would be if a borrower filed a BBB complaint >>>against<<< a signing agent.
If anyone knows of any instance in which the BBB has contacted a delinquent signing company, I really want to hear about it. Otherwise, those who advise BBB complaints are just generating a lot of wasted effort on the part of signing agents.

Re: File a complaint with the BBB...
Actually Hugh, although you may be right about this, for some reason, the Tucson BBB does takes reports on Notary America. The last time I looked, there were 12 negative reports and only one resolution. The Tucson BBB gives them a negative rating.
