Thomas Sirianni
Finally got paid !! Signing - 5/5/04 Check dated 7/15/04 Mailed 11/2/04
Date of check was within their policy. Too bad they hold it for 3 month before mailing.

Check is 3 months old?
I wonder if you could even cash it now. Most checks are only good for 90 days max. I hope you can cash it.

Re: Check is 3 months old?
I checked with my bank and they said that checks have no "expiration date"

Re: Check is 3 months old?
Actually, I have seen checks that have pre-printed on them an expiration date... i.e., "void after 90 days". In other words, in some cases, checks do become "stale-dated". I remember when working in escrow... our checks were pre-printed with that language... to "attempt" to avoid someone other than the payee cashing them (not that the 90 days deters fraud, but it does cause the payee to attempt to cash it timely if they do in fact receive it). You might want to check and make sure the check doesn't have a "void after" date.

Thanks to all of you who posted warnings about Sirianni.
Whenever they call me, I say "Never!" the minute I hear their name. Then I hang up.
I do the same when Sign on the X calls.
Thanks for posting and saving me a lot of grief!
