Clear and short posts get the best response

Joan recently asked that posters please use clear sentences and short paragraphs to help us all quickly absorb the post and leave helpful responses. Below is my supportive plea.

Joan: like you, I have a problem reading long one-paragraph and/or all-caps posts. Thank you, Joan, for making a very good point.

Our NSA job is very paper- and word-intensive. That means we must scan for meaning in all our readings. The most effectively-written paragraph has the main point in the top one or two sentences.

Several years ago I read something that really made me pay attention. The statement talked about the postal mail we receive today vs that received by our grandparents. The statement said that research found that the amount of mail we receive today in ONE month is equal to the amount of mail received by our grandparents in their lifetime.

Email was not addressed in this study. Add that!

We all just have too much mail and email to sift through. Clear posting will help readers digest meanings and posters get fast and clear responses.

Another point:
Typos happen. I don't mind those. But when I see terrible sentences, spelling, and grammar, I wonder about the professionalism of the notary who is posting.
Be professional - ALWAYS!
