Don't accept assignments from Ameriquest!!
Unless you just like to work and not get paid. Type Ameriquest in the search option here and check out all of the signing agents getting ripped off by them. Beware! Especially the office in Rancho Cordova CA! They are really a bunch of crooks. I reported them to the BBB and have filed claim in small claims court. I'll report the results when I can.

Never again....
Had 3 Ameriquest sched. for 9/22 $ 9/23. One borrower was in another state so that was cx, the other two borrower's had no idea that their loan was closing as they had not heard anything from the LO and they cx. Received a call to re-sched. one on 9/30. Had to print docs @ borrower's home, as I still had no electricity due to Jeanne. Spent almost an hour printing docs, reviewed the HUD and borrower says fees are 2x what he was told they would be. Borrower calls LO, hangs up and says he will not sign. In reviewing the docs I discover they are drawn wrong, borrower is married not single, yada, yada, yada. I leave borrower's home just before 9pm without a call to SS or lender. SS was closed & I did not have lenders # but figure I'm covered because borrower called LO and discussed problems. I had to leave, we were under curfew (sp) and law enforcement was seriously enforcing.
Next morning I get a call from irate LO in Orlando pissed at me because borrower would not sign. I explained to the LO that it is NOT my job to sell his loan and I had to leave due to cufew. I told LO I had left a message w/SS and would call them with a full report. LO was still ticked off that I did not call him. At this point he threatened to place a lien on the borrower's property. The borrower called me frantick, the LO called and told him that he would put a lien on his property.
Now Scott @ Ameriquest is being reported by the borrower to any and every agency the borrower can think of to file a complaint. Scott @ Ameriquest in Orlando, you should be ashamed of yourself, you pig!
Never again!

Re: Never again....
Excuse me?? Is Scott full of crap? How can he put a lien on the borrowers property because the borrower would not take his loan! That is laughable!

Re: Never again....Read notes from....
Look at the message board on gomobilenotary. Jack in the box. Please know what you are doing before going forward with legal actions.

"The borrower called me frantick, the LO called and told him that he would put a lien on his property."
Becca, if you want to get involved, have the borrowers call Charlie Crist's office (Fl Attorney General) to file a formal complaint against Scott and Ameriquest.
I do believe it is illegal in Florida to make threats against a homeowner on their homestead property. Homesteaded property is protected by the Homestead Act and has very far reaching consequences.

Re: Never again....
I told him to go to sunbiz.org and call 800 HELPFLA. Borrower also said he would call BBB.

Re: Never again....
I have never heard of some of the things that title companies and loan officers say to the notary and the borrower. I guess I am so bitchy that they won't talk to me like that.

Re: Don't worry
First thing to do is to call the Corporate Headquarters in California and report this guy, now. The borrower should not worry. This Scott guy cannot do anything to them. Nothing signed. There is a legal department at Ameriquest who would love to hear the complaints.

Re: Don't worry
Do you know how I can reach these people at Ameriquest who would love to listen and help? I have been ripped off and lied to by these LO's at Ameriquest. I have tried to get a phone # for someone who will listen. I just keep getting vm, with no return call, disconnected or a call center specialist who sympathizes but can't do anything. WHO can I call at Ameriquest who will listen AND help? Anyone??
