HELP

I had a signing that was to done on the 6th, rescheduled for the 7th. I called the title co. because (although I just received the docs via ups today) some of the dates are for the 6th. She checked with someone and said o.k. to line through the date and put the correct date and all intial. O.K. But what about the dat on the NOTE and DOT? Not where I notarize, but where it says ; This Deed of Trust is made on October 6,2004 (which is typed in) The Grantor is xxxxxx and xxxxx. On the note it is typed in at the top. Should they alsoo change these dates too, or are they o.k. to leave?
Thanks for your advice.

If you are doing the signing on the 7th of Oct. and the doc's are dated on the 6th of October , you are fine. You could of signed the borrower either on the 6th or 7th but not before the document date.

I wouldn't even have the borrowers line through and initial the dates. Have them sign everything for the 7th and notarize for the 7th. You can't sign or notarize *before* the date of the docs.

The only dates you need to be concerned about are the dates that you use in the notarization and the dates on the right to cancel, both of which MUST be the date the signing takes place. It's extremely common for the rest of the dates on the documents not to match the date of the signing.
