Re: Ooops! It should be Hey, not hay.

"Hay" is probably more appropriate. JoeCA does think I'm a jackass.

Glena asks how I hide my IP address.

I have no idea. I log in. I post. I wait for JoeCA to bitch about the post. That's about it.

I'm not much of one for hiding things. There was the small bottle of hooch in my office drawer. And when I was a reporter, I sometimes found creative shelters in expense accounts for various expenditures. But that's about it...well, other than the visit to the topless bar that my lovely and talented wife found out about anyway. That was a downer. Her only reaction was to express the hope that the pasties contingent got more action out of the old fart than she does.

It's not that Hugh is purposely hiding his IP (though there are many other things that he does hide and/or needs to hide, just ask his wife). When you join Notary Rotary and log in before posting, the header on the post will read "logged in user" instead of the IP address. For those posters who do not log into Notary Rotary, the IP address of the poster is then displayed.

Hugh

I would love to get your wife to post and "dish." She probably figured you out years ago and has made peace!! This isn't a slam as I think your very funny and very bright!! I also think I am very funny and bright; but my kids won't answer the phone tonight to back me up! Well let's not go there!! Cheers, Joan

Joan notes:

***I would love to get your wife to post and "dish."

I am unacquainted with the colloquialism, "dish." Is that the same phenomenon linquists technically identify as "rap," "jaw," or "chew the fat?" The lovely & talented Ms. Sanchez (who elected not to bear my surname, distinguished though it is through usage by Cherokee chiefs, feather merchants and an occasional felon. She also declines to arrive at parties together, and in public with me dons a pair of very large sunglasses) probably would love to "dish," especially if the topic was the many and varied shortcomings of her spouse.
