Help

Hi,

I just finished a signing and was going over my docs before I mailed them to the title company and I came across a notarization I did not completely filled out. Help understand it please, it reads:

On the ________ day of __________, in the year 2004, before me

personally came ________________ to me known to be the individual

described in and who executed the foregoing instrument, and acknowledgement that

_____??____________ executed the same.

What goes above?

Thanks,

Nothing goes in the spaces because the certificate is not in compliance with Ca laws. You should attach a loose acknowledgment with the correct wording.

Jon is exactly right.

Chica, if you don't even know this much, you have no business doing loan signings. This is as BASIC notary law stuff as you're ever going to find and it's shameful that you can't recognize an improper California notarization when you see it.
