Re: "Free Listing"
Hugh (and others),
You indicated in a prior post:
If you can use a NotRot link at all, Ted, it should (not) matter whether it is basic or premium.
Well I tried to sign up using my notaryrotary site as my url. And it just didn't seem to work. I got the following response:
"A valid reciprocal link was not found on the following page (and then my notary rotary url). We're sorry. that page does not exist on our site. click the home button to go to the notary rotary home page."
Any suggestions Hugh or otherrs? TIA

The extent of my computer knowledge basically is that one doesn't run on kerosene. Beyond that, you have to talk to the man who told Al Gore how to invent the Internet.

Sorry, Mr. Gore and I were not and are not on speaking terms. However, he may have read how to do it my "Internet for Dummies" series (before the yellow books were published) were I prophesied the public takeover and expansion of the internet.

Re: "Free Listing"
Technically speaking, the NotaryLink works by providing a link to the notary's website. In return, a reciprocal link needs to be placed on the notary's website to allow visitors to link to NotaryLink's site. So, you need your own website, or at least a website you can add and adjust to include graphics and links to be able to provide the link back. NotaryRotary and other "listing" services aren't web pages per se. They take information from their database and build a web page on the fly, for viewing.
Hopefully, Ted, this provided the technical enlightenment you seek (or at least sought after) to mend the errors of your ways.

Re: "Free Listing"
Thanks, PAW, for the information. I don't believe I am in a position to mend the errors of my ways (as I don't presently have a website), but I do stand enligtened as to what the situation is and why my efforts with respect to notaryrotary didn't work.
