just passed the test

I just got the result of my test (passed) tomorrow I will be going to have my live scam
printing done. Does anyone has any advice on how to start marketing myself and also
giving me some pointers on to make sure I do everything right. I know the material but I
don't have the practive. Any advise will be appreciated.

thanks,
lily

Probably meant "live scan". In Ca notaries are required to take a proctored test and be fingerprinted via "live scan" which is a computer imaging system. The fingerprints are used as a part of a background check which is required before receiving appointment as a notary.

Of course this is just my guess, since the poster didn't say which state she was in.

experienced people.

Sorry if I ofended you in any way.

I don't think you offended anyone. I think the "live scam" had others trying to figure it out.

Good advice as posted many times on this board

Per HisHugness:

"Advice for new notaries

Above the menu of posts, click the "First" button. Go all the way to the very first post in June 2003, "Welcome to the General Discussion Forum." Read all the way to the last post today. You will find your answer many times over in the intervening messages, along with far better information about being a signing agent than you ever got in your certification course."
