Beacon Rock Signing Service in California
Warning!!! I did a signing for this company back in June 2004. I had to visit the borrower 3 times because of clerical errors on the loan documents. The company (Saraah) emailed me a confirmation for payment of $225. As of September 27, I have not been paid. I have spoken to Saraah on several occasions where she has given me "the check is in the mail" run around.

Beacon Rock is becoming famous for not paying it's notarys. You are only one in a very large group.

Beacon Rock used to be Victory Notary. The went under robbing people of their money. Beacon Rock is doing the same. Stay away! Keep demanding money. You probably will get it eventually.

If they have been dishonest numerous times and are not working with you on getting this resolved at all, after numerous attempts, and always staying professional. I would personally contact Title, and /or Lender and discuss this with them. Then report to Better Business Bureau. Then look into Filing small claims. I would also let the company know you've notified other Signing Agents via a few National Posting Boards like this one informing your colleagues of their companies non-payment practice. If they would like that information updated that it was finally paid-in-full they need to work with you and submit payment. But DO NOT give up on payment. Sorry you have to go through this, some of these signing companies should be run out of business. I have heard nothing but negative feedback on this company. There are alot bad companies , but there are alot of good ones too. It's sort of hit and miss in this industry unfortunately. Well Good Luck & Have A Great Day!!

I did my charity bit for Beacon Rock on May 6, 2004. They called me and said they were having problems getting notaries in my area. Said they had been slammed for being slow pay and had changed personnel. Said they would personally guarantee that my check would sent within two weeks. I thought "wow, that is the best sales pitch that I have heard in the 10+ years I have been involved in this." so I took it knowing I probably wouldn't be paid without a lot of aggravation. I wasn't wrong!! I feel sorry for the newbies in this business. A pattern that I have noticed in about the last 5 years is that if a "slow pay" or " no pay" SS hooks someone to do a signing they will call you several times in the next 30 or so days for signings, even if they are out of your area.

I'm sorry to hear that. You may want to contact The Better Business Bureau in regards to that and file a complaint. They should be able to assist.

I'm going to show my ignorance, but I gotta ask: What does the {nm} in the subject line stand for? No Middle? Near Milwaukee? Not aMusing? Nockout Miss? Never, Mushhead? Nibbles & Munchies? Nugget of Misinformation?
Educate me, please. I've seen it many times on these forii, but have always been too timid to ask.

Hugh asked about "NM"...
It's "no message."
Yep...I knew that one because I just caught onto it myself about 30 minutes ago.

NM in this case mean No Message. For most "net" smart acronyms, go to http://www.netlingo.com/emailsh.cfm and do a search (Ctrl+F). However, you won't find this particular meaning at NetLingo. (Not sure why not, but it's not there.)

Contact the title company
When Beacon Rock didn't pay me, a call to the title company seemed to get the job done. Actually, they paid me twice & I voided, faxed and destroyed the 2nd check. Also, I have never heard that Beacon Rock was Victory Notary. Victory Notary went out of business last year and Beacon Rock has been around for awhile.
