Chase

I just accepted a Chase closing for Monday evening. Anything special or that I need to take note of on these e-docs -- and how is a Chase closing different from others? From what I've researched on the boards, the package is usually large and that many pages need to be faxed back. However, the confirmation only says that only the HUD and Note need faxed.

Also, I'm supposed to get copies of driver's license and social security card. I just spoke with borrower and his wallet was stolen some time back, and he hasn't had time to get a new SS card. He said he spoke with title company and they said a copy of a credit card would suffice. I've e-mailed SA, but haven't heard back. Thanks.

Is this signing through NBSA by any chance? If it is, you only need a copy of their driver's license.

Thanks. Yes it is through NBSA. This is the first signing I've done for NBSA and I have to say I'm pretty impressed, so far. They called this morning at 11 and I received the e-docs a little after 1 p.m. for a Mondy 6 p.m. signing. The docs seem pretty straight forward and nothing out of the ordinary.

Hi Carolyn,

I have done docs for Chase also, they need 2 forms of ID one can be a drivers license and the other can be a credit card but they need a copy of the front and back. As far as the docs to be sent back usually there is a check list to fax back certain docs.

Hi !
I must ask: what does the company NBSA stand for? I would like to conduct some closings for CHASE. I worked for them for 2 years and there are several in the Roch, NY area.

I appreciate your help!! Thank you

Caution

Chase is one of the biggest mortgage lenders in the US. Chase has many different offices, numerous loan prgrams and works though a bunch of different title companies. Proceedures re: id, docs, faxback doc return, etc. vary for each. Follow the instructions YOU RECEIVE and call if you need clarification

Re: Caution

Thanks for the responses. I've just read so much about Chase loans, and as Bob says, they are all different, but after receiving the docs and instructions, this loan is pretty straight forward. I still have not received word back about the lack of social security card.

Re: Caution

I have done over 25 closings for NBSA and some borrower's just can't find their ss card so I just send a copy of their driver's license. I haven't had any problems so far.

I would NOT copy their credit card. There are other things that you can use for ss# Most health ins cards have their name and ss# on it, maybe a pay check stub, if their retired they get ss checks, first page of their income tax form, ECT.... ECT.... Copies of credit cards could be dangerous for them and you.

Carolyn, Thank you for the NBSN clarification.

Correct!! In my many years in banking you NEVER want to photo copy the card. But if you do "black out" the last 2-3 numbers. The Photo credit cards work great, they have a signiture, name and a photo! ie: Chase, Citibank.......
